About Cultured Shelf

A little curiosity, a clearer view of the dairy aisle.

Find your kind of dairy

Cultured Shelf helps you discover US high-protein dairy products and put their nutrition labels side by side. Our collection covers skyr, Greek yogurt, and cottage cheese; our guides also explore quark and related dairy traditions.

We’re an independent discovery and comparison resource, not a dairy manufacturer or retailer. A listing records a product and its sources; it doesn’t promise that a store has it in stock. We currently have no advertising or affiliate links.

Start with the manufacturer’s label

We manually collect nutrition figures from manufacturer product pages or readable label images, matching the exact US product, flavor, milkfat level, package, and declared serving. Each product page links to its evidence and shows when we checked it.

“Source checked” means the recorded figures matched that source on that date. It isn’t a laboratory test, a guarantee about a package bought today, or confirmation of availability. Formulations and packaging can change.

Compare the same amount

Serving sizes differ. We calculate nutrition per 100 g from the manufacturer’s declared serving so you can start with an equal weight, then switch to per serving for the portion you plan to eat. We round for display; sorting uses the unrounded per-100 g figures. These are individual product examples, not category averages.

Unknown information stays unknown. A dash means a value wasn’t provided; a known zero is shown as zero. Without a declared serving weight, we don’t calculate per-100 g values. We don’t infer ingredients, dietary claims, prices, or stock from a product name.

Keep the evidence open to correction

When reviewing a possible correction or update, we look for a manufacturer source for the exact product and package. We update figures and check dates when supported by that evidence, and keep uncertainties visible rather than filling gaps with guesses.

Our Contact and corrections page explains what helps us review a discrepancy and the current availability of our public contact channel. You can also read our Privacy Policy or explore the comparison.
